Adam Capps grew up listening to music from a wide variety of artists from Queen to Alan Jackson and everything in between. In his early teens he picked up an old, red, Danelectro guitar and began to pick away at it. It wasn't long after that, he had written his first few songs and music became part of his life. During his attendance at Wichita State University, where he was an accomplished track athlete, he earned a degree in Spanish and Education. He used that degree to begin his first job as a high school Spanish teacher. During the last couple years of college he started performing at smaller venues and parties and gained a following in his hometown of Wichita, Ks. It wasn't until the age of 24 that Adam had the aspirations to pursue a music career.
The first single from Adam's self titled EP was "I Call it Home" in late 2014 and it has remained the number one song for fans of the Adam Capps Band. The band has shared the stage with some of country's greatest stars like Billy Currington, The Band Perry, Big & Rich, Maren Morris, Granger Smith, as well performances at Kicker Country Stampede in the Summer of 2015 & 2016, and side stage at the CMA Festival in Nashville.
In late July of 2016 the Adam Capps Band released their debut album, "Play it Proud", with ten original songs written by Adam. Their first single from the album was "Memories on the Road", which immediately began to gain attention and radio play throughout the country. "Memories" was the first single to reach the Music Row country chart and climbed to be one of the top 80 songs in the country. Their second album, "One More Song", was released in October of 2017 and their first single, the title track, from the sophomore album debuted on the Music Row Charts shortly after its release!
