Behelit started back in 2008 when Jesse Brisendine and Tristan Lovelace got together and started to jam. After several months of nonstop practicing, they decided to go and record the fruits of their labor and the result was the 2009 release "Of Anger and Ambition". It was put up on the internet for free, so that there was no barriers for who ever wished to listen. Due to some struggles, the band went on a hiatus up until 2011. At that point, Jesse B was able to rebuild the band with a full line up and now they are playing live and writing new material for an eventual 2013 release. The influence of several prominent death metal bands are there (such as Hate Eternal, Severed Savior, Behemoth, Black Dahlia Murder), but the ingenuity of what puts it all together creates a unique sound. There is a definite focus on creating solid jamming that you can bang your head to, yet still technical enough to make you keep guessing.
