Cherokee Outlaws was born in May of 2012 in Alto, TX. All members have been musicians most of their lives and have played together in various bands before forming Cherokee Outlaws. As a result, their sound is solid and diverse across many styles of country music including Texas Country, Old Country, and Southern Rock. The majority of their songs are written by their awesome and excellent friend, Scotty Crosby...however, they have all contributed original songs as well. Lead singer, Cory Davis, dreamed up the idea with Drummer, Randy Selman. This is Cory's first band as "front-man" and he and Randy have played together in two other bands prior to CO's. They had also played in a band with Lead Guitarist, James Parnell, so they brought him on board as well. Only needing a bass player at that point, Randy suggested his wife, Shanna Selman. It was apparent at their first practice, Cherokee Outlaws's were meant to be.
