Fenley would describe his music as "Texas Soul" and soulful it is with his deep, rich voice often compared to Joe Cocker and Otis Redding, and his heartfelt lyrics. Born in Lufkin, Texas David first began singing at the age of two when his mother would coax him to sing Honky Tonk Man for the family. Equipped with musical genes from his Father, who sings in a gospel quartet, David has excelled in his extraordinary talent. He began performing and writing his own songs with a band he formed in High School. Even at the age of 16 his songs had a pure honesty.
