A Patterson Center Sunday matinee at 2:00 p.m. March 25 featuring Houston pianist,
Glennie Scott and vocalist, Judy England will be the third in The Kay's series of
events. Ms. Scott has been a featured performer at many of Houston's best restaurants
and clubs. She is a presenting artist at Ovations in Houston and has originated shows
with many of Houston's finest vocalists.
She has performed nationally in San Francisco, Chicago, Philadelphia, Plantation Key,
and internationally in Sweden and Norway. She began playing piano and studying just
prior to her 4th birthday. Before beginning her career as a pianist/singer/entertainer, she
attended Rice University, transferring to Centenary College of Louisiana where she
received her BA with a major in piano performance and music theory. While at
Centenary, she sang with the famed Centenary College Choir, as well as played flute with
the Centenary Band and with the Shreveport Symphony. She subsequently received her
Master’s of Liberal Arts from Houston Baptist University in 1998. |
