Jake Pyeatt has played the guitar since he was 7 years old. He has worked at it, and worked for it. After touring and playing guitar for numerous Texas Music artists for over a decade, Jake launched his solo endeavor in early 2014 … and things are just getting better and better.
Pyeatt is a familiar name in Texas music. Jake’s playing, singing, and songwriting roots run deep. His grandmother, Wanda Pyeatt, was a prolific songwriter and singer during the 1950’s. Her talent and skill passed down to her son Rodney Pyeatt, Jake’s father, and well known Texas guitar slinger. Jake got a double dose of talent when his mother, Rena Dearman, a talented entertainer met up with his father in Lake Jackson, TX . Rodney and Rena became touring musicians for the late great Tejano superstar, Selena. Jake has two brothers who are also professional musicians.
