Maegan Brooks
Maegan Brooks is different, a description with which she is wholeheartedly comfortable. Her style, her demeanor, her genre, everything she is and does is different; Refreshingly so.

Those things that may strike you as 'typical' are found in her story; Born and raised in small-town east Texas, Maegan was almost immediately, not to mention incessantly, exposed to music. Her mom wasn't shy about sharing her own piano, guitar and vocal abilities with the family, and Maegan learned very quickly that a passion for music was a must. Her early years were made up of singing at church and dancing, and starting in 3rd grade, journaling. At around 18, she decided that her love of music and her love of writing should work together. After several attempts to have mom restring the guitar to accomodate her left-hand-dominance, Maegan decided it was time to learn how to play right-handed. With a little help and a whole lot of determination, she taught herself to play and started placing her words within the framework of melodic progressions.
