Standing in the shadows of his past, Nick Thompson has a ton to write about. After a couple lost friends, and a long hard fought battle with himself, Nick was faced with a decision that had to be made. The decision to continue his path of wrong, or to turn it around and start his life. After making a decision that would forever change his life, Nick went to the local pawn shop in White Oak, Texas with 60 dollars cash and bought him an acoustic guitar. Already very familiar with music through the playing of the drums his whole life, Nick taught himself how to play the guitar in about two months. Always having a good voice, Nick thought it might be a cool way to pick up on girls. So in Panama City, Florida, Nick sang in front of a crowd of about ten strangers for the first time in his life. He realized, then that he had found something that he loved to do and would never put down. Going on for 3 or so years playing songs by Lynyrd Skynyrd and Cross Canadian Ragweed, nick sat down in his barn at his home after an end to a high school relationship and wrote the song "where we’ve been." After playing this song in front of some his friends, they realized that he had some talent and talked him into going to an open mic at a family pizza place called Double Daves Pizza. This is where it all began. Nick had known David his whole life, having grown up right down the street from each other, but had never even thought about David playing in a Texas Country/Southern Rock band. Until one night after Nick played at Double Daves, David and Nick sat down together and wrote what is now called "breaking out." They then realized that they had discovered something that people with love and started doing more and more each week. Eventually escalating into several nights a week in a red barn in the small town of White Oak spent writing songs and jamming together. Needing a drummer, Nick picked up the phone and called his cousin, Daniel Jones, who played in 2 other heavy metal bands but adapted well to Nick’s style. For the first actual show, it was just the three of them. On a Thursday night in Longview, Texas, Nick Thompson and the Sacred Sound perfomed infront of a startling turn out of about 300 people at Grahams Central Station. With big eyes and big hearts the guys have been composing a new cd, "Live While Im Alive" that will be COMING SOON!!! Now having themselves known around longview, and having added bass player Joey Bohn, the band is ready to take on new challenges and let people hear there music.
