Noel Olivas is product from a small West Texas town...where oil wells and cattle help pay the bills. At the young age of 15 Noel began singing for a band called BORDERLINE that allowed him to learn the business and travel all over the state of Texas playing dancehall after dancehall. It wasnt until after graduating college at Texas Tech University where he decided to give song writing a try. By then the old Borderline band had parted ways and Noel went on to record his first solo album titled "Why Me". With his "whiskey breathed" vocals and personal experience style of writing. he has gained the respect of many artist throughout the nation. "I am a huge fan of true country music. I love all types of music..just don't like when a record is labled a country album when its no where close to being so. I listen to artists such as Daryl Singletary, Kevin Denney, Jake Hooker, Keith Whitley, Rick Trevino, Jayme Johnson..and many others that have true country roots. Its a shame to see some of these guys playing tiny clubs instead of filling stadiums like they should be" Noel says.
