Rich O'Toole's highly anticipated sophomore album, IN A MINUTE OR 2, has surpassed any expectations that could be set for such a young artist. The album, which was released on October 21, 2008, has hit the charts in record time and is now available at Hastings, Best Buy, iTunes, and Lonestarmusic.com.
O'Toole has once again teamed up with Grammy nominated producer, Mack Damon, to bring audiences 11 new tracks, including a live track, recorded at the Radiofreetexas.org Rowdy Float Trip. IN A MINUTE OR 2 debuted at 30 on iTunes' top country albums during its release week, climbing above George Strait, Rascal Flatts, and Jason Aldean. It also hit 3 on Billboard's Heatseeker Regional South Central chart. The lead single and title track has flooded airways and jumped to 6 on the Texas Music Chart. This marks the 5th straight top 10 single for O'Toole, a feat by any standards. Also set for release is a new music video for the lead single. Rich O'Toole had the honor of performing on the live tribute album, "Undone: A MusicFest Tribute to Robert Earl Keen," which was recorded live at MusicFest 2008 in Steamboat Springs, Colorado and will be released on January 6, 2009.
Rich O'Toole has headlined shows at every major venue in the Texas/Oklahoma area, with upcoming stops in Fort Worth, Houston, and Huntsville. Along with his regular touring schedule, O'Toole has been a part of numerous music festivals this year, including Ziegfest 2008, Party in the Park 2008, and an upcoming spot at Musicfest 2009 in Steamboat Springs, Colorado. In December he will join fellow Texas musician Josh Abbott for the "That's What She Said" acoustic tour of Texas. The tour, presented by Southern Thread and Ambiance Artists, will hit 11 cities in Texas and will include special opening guests Charla Corn and Brett Crenshaw.
