Robert Stowell
Growing up, Robert would always sing at his family's house on the holidays. His mom say's she remembers him singing in the back seat of her car at the age of 3. His dream as a kid was to be on T.V. playing in the Big Leagues. Robert played baseball until the age of 22 and made it all the way to Double A with the Redsox. While sliding into second base, in Ashville N.C., he broke his ankle and had to have it operated on. A year later he tried out for the Twins and just didn't have it any more. After months of thinking "What Now?" he went out with friends to a bar that had Karaoke that night. After his friends kept telling him to get up there and sing a song, he finally gave in. After singing the whole place erupted in applause. Robert says "At that moment a light bulb went on in my head and I thought, well maybe this is what your suppose to do?" After that night he took off running full throttle; Singing in Fairs, Festival's, Bars and even opening for the Bellamy Brothers and Chad Brock a few times. He moved to Nashville, made friends with star's like Chad Brock, Darryl Singletary and Dierks Bentley to name a few. But after singing at the worlds famous Tootsie's 4 nights a week, he decided making $300 a week wasn't going to cut it. Robert say's" Eating off the McDonalds $1 menu gets old!!" So he came to Florida and with the help from a lot of his talented friends in Texas, he started the Florida Country Music Industry. The only real Country Music Industry Florida has ever had. You can check that out at www.floridacountrymusic.com. History has already been made by Robert getting Florida Radio to play unsigned Florida Artist on the radio!
