Ronny Spears
During Ronny’s years in the Texas Music scene he has had the opportunity to perform with many well known artists such as Radney Foster, Ray Wylie Hubbard, Brian Burns, Willie Nelson, 1100 Springs, The Tejas Bro's, Tommy Alverson, Terry Rasor, Randy Hopper, The Dixie Chicks, Charlie Robison, Pat Green, Robert Earl Keen, Max Stalling, Bill Kirchin, Geranimo Trevino, Donny Ray Ford, Deryl Dodd, Mark David Manders, and Jack Ingram to name a few. Ronny’s childhood music influence was Johnny Cash, but his most inspirational Texas Music figure is Ray Wylie Hubbard who, in 1989, told him to, “Quit doing copy music.” It was from this point on that Spears began to write and perform his own tunes. Ronny has been out of the “scene” for a while to pursue family life, but he is back! During his time away from performing, Ronny’s voice has matured, as has his songwriting. A listen to Ronny’s music will take you on a trip revealing the truths of life; from love, to loss, to joy, to happiness and the urbanization of America.
