Southern Brave
- Nothing happens by chance. That’s a firm belief held by the members of Southern Brave.
- Even before he was old enough to walk, Southern Brave front man and songwriter Don Stalling was attending Red Dirt shows and festivals. The Gunter, TX native attended college in West Texas, and made his way east to play in a rock band. Then, as every road eventually leads home, he ended up writing and singing Red Dirt. Stalling later paired up with lead guitarist and Fort Worth native Chris Sanchez.
- After a demo record in 2018, they made their 2019 E.P. “Late Nights & Bar Fights,” at Panhandle House in Denton, TX. Their single “Nashville” garnered attention from local press and produced a substantial following on Spotify. They brought on seasoned musicians Max O’Neal on bass guitar, David Walters on drums, and Cody Jackson on guitar and harmonies. After a year of putting together a polished live show, the band came out with their full length album “The Hunt,” recorded at Rosewood Studios in Tyler, TX. They made the most of 2020, supporting acts such as Wade Bowen and Parker McCollum.
