Tubie and theTouchtones
Tubie has been playing guitar for over 40 years. He has played with the premier southwest bands: Camel Rock, Alias, and Two Paces West, now playing with his band Tubie and the Touchtones. His quick, innovative lead guitar work, along with rhythm and acoustic guitar styles, and his strong lead and harmony vocals help make his band full, different, & successful. They usually stay in S.E. Texas playing blues, classic rock, some country and Tubie's tunes.

Tubie released his debut CD "Just can't believe it" in 2007, his second CD "The Lonestar Blues" in 2008, and his third CD “Blue with Envy” in 2009.

He was nominated for musician of the year at the 2009 Texas Music Awards and his band opened the ceremony in the civic auditorium in Palestine, Texas, and was nominated again in the 2010 Texas Music Awards for musician of the year. He was also nominated for blues artist of the year in the Upstate Indie Awards in Syracuse N.Y. for 2009. Two of his songs have made the ECMA charts in the UK and Italy.

He is a prolific songwriter with over 50 songs and a BMI music publishing artist. He has played in 40 of the lower 48 states plus Alaska. Touring for B & K enterprises in the mid and late '80s he played as many as 300 nights a year. He has opened for Foghat, toured with the late legendary Texas singer songwriter B.W. Stevenson, and been onstage with Willie Nelson.
