Abilene, TX– 8/11/09 – Pro Show Live is proud to present the 2nd Annual Taylor County Throwdown, Friday, August 28, 2009 at the Taylor County Expo Pavilion in Abilene, TX. This “throwdown” is one for the history books as Cross Canadian Ragweed performs in Abilene the very week their highly anticipated CD “Happiness and All the Other Things” is released. The “boys from Oklahoma” are sure to bring the house down with brand new songs off their critically acclaimed CD, as well as crowd favorites. The show also features their rowdy, rockin’ Texas counterparts, Reckless Kelly!
“They may be the last great Southern rock band still stomping the boards,” says All Music Guide, about Texas/Red Dirt music kings, Cross Canadian Ragweed, while USA Today proclaims that “this ferociously rocking band is one of the better-kept secrets around.” But not a secret for long, and certainly not a secret in Texas and Oklahoma.
Earlier this year, Texas-roots rockers Reckless Kelly acquired a nomination from the Americana Music Association - their first ever - in the Duo or Group of the Year category. Their latest release Bulletproof debuted at #22 on the Billboard Music Chart and #2 on the Billboard Heatseekers Chart.
