ABOUT: “The Biggest 1-Day, 1-Stage Event in Texas!”
Celebrate Texas Independence Day in a BIG way at the 2nd Annual Outlaws and Legends Music Fest, held at the Abilene Speedway on March 2-3, 2012. This year will be bigger and better than the 1st, which gained more than 6,000 Texas music fans, staged 16 artists in one-day, sold out 200 RVs and 51 Tailgate Party Passes. This year, tickets and tailgates are discounted if purchased early…and, no parking fees at the event!
The party starts on Friday, March 2nd with Outlaws & Legends Unplugged, where Mark Powell and friends: Larry Joe Taylor, Matt Martindale, Jamie Richards, Charlie Shafter, Sheila Marshall, Jerrod Medulla, Bracken Hale, and many more perform acoustic and unrehearsed off the main stage from 6:00p.m.-12:00 (midnight).
Backporch Productions is thrilled to announce the legendary southern rock and multi-platinum/gold recording artist Marshall Tucker Band co-headlining this year on their 40th Year Anniversary Tour with Texas Music Legends Roger Creager! The Marshall Tucker Band has amassed 16 Top Country and Rock Billboard Hit Singles including: “Can’t You See”, “Heard It in a Love Song”, “Fire On a Mountain” on their first time to the Big Country. Also Texas singer/songwriter legend Joe Ely, Mark Powell & Lariat, Matt Martindale, Gary P Nunn, Whiskey Myers, Eleven Hundred Springs, Jamie Richards, Charlie Shafter, Jerrod Medulla, Casey Berry, and Texas Mulehouse Ratz will all be featured this year on the big stage Saturday, March 3rd. The music begins at 10:15 A.M. with the winner of the Lucky Mule Singer/Songwriter Showcase and runs non-stop with these big Texas Outlaws and Legends. The night is capped off with a rare spectacular “Encore” of many of the artist sharing the stage and their biggest hits from midnight until 1:00a.m.! A portion of all ticket sales benefit Abilene non-profit Disability Resources, Inc. Last year $31,180 was raised for this deserving charity that assists the disabled of the Big Country!

Gates open at 4:00p.m. on Friday, March 2nd. ALL TAILGATERS MUST PARK AT 4:00p.m., March 2nd. Attendees must be out of the Speedway by Sunday, March 4th. RV Spots and Tailgate Party Passes are limited and will be booked on a first-come, first-serve basis. Your Ticket is good for BOTH nights! This is a Bring-Your-Own-Cooler event: $20 per any-sized cooler. Must pay cooler fee at the gate. No glass, weapons, firearms, drugs- strictly enforced. All sales are final- No refunds. You are allowed anything that fits within the 15ft X 20ft spot; ex: pickup trucks, tents, small campers. These sold out 1 month prior to show last year, so book early! MUSIC ROW TAILGATE PASS: (Limit of 5) $750

- $10 Savings per ticket AND includes your tailgate spot at no additional charge.

- No hook-ups,no electrical.
