Many Tyler residents fondly recall the old Liberty Theater building on Erwin. First dates, classic movies and community events all mix in the memory for scores of people. The Liberty will once again be home to memory-making events and entertainment as it is converted into Liberty Hall in September of 2011.
In late 2010, demolition and renovation began on the old movie theater. Now re-named Liberty Hall, the building will boast more than 300 seats and balcony and box seating for musical performances and other community entertainment events.
