About
Koe Wetzel and the Konvicts are a group of northeast Texas boys who joined together in hope of getting on the Texas Country scene one song at a time. Koe Wetzel is the frontman, singing lead vocals and playing rhythm guitar. Wetzel has been singing since the age of 6 and started playing guitar as a freshman in high school. He debuted at local shows around his hometown of Pittsburg and has also performed at the Texas State FFA Talent Competition two times. Wetzel wanted to continue to pursue his love for music, so he asked fellow friends Kody Foster and Colton Watson to join in his musical aspirations. Kody Foster is the lead guitar player from Daingerfield. Foster has been playing lead guitar for five years, which has lead to his original style. Combining the blues and country together, Foster creates a unique sound for the Konvicts. Watson plays the bass guitar for the Konvicts. He grew up in Linden, where his love and talent for music came from his father. He has been playing bass guitar for 4 years now.The Konvicts needed a distinct sound to compensate Foster's lead, so they found Austin "Whiskey" White to play harmonica for them. Whiskey White has some of the best harmonica skills in the state and has only been playing for two years. The Konvicts were still missing one important thing: a drummer. So, Watson asked a previous band member to join the group. Cody Edmiston jumped in with the Konvicts and hit the sticks to the needed beat of the Konvicts. Edmiston has been playing the drums for 6 years and finishes up the Konvicts musicians. The Konvicts then asked Chase Richardson to complete the band. Chase is Wetzel's cousin, who grew up in Pittsburg too. He probably plays the most underestimated role because he writes the majority of the Konvicts music, helps manage, and occasionally will perform. The Konvicts note that Richardson is the most valuable asset to the band. As a group, all of these men combine together to give Koe Wetzel and the Konvicts their musical sound.
