Jason Miller Band
In the summer of 2012, Jason Miller began his search for musicians to join together on his new musical venture. Little did he know that when he found this group of men, from all over the state of Mississippi, that they would form not only a band, but also, a brotherhood. For most of his life, Jason Miller has been involved in the music scene. Miller is a Sturgis, MS native who has now made Starkville, MS his home. Prior to forming the Jason Miller Band, he held the role of lead vocalist for the national touring and recording group, Crossin Dixon. When not on the road playing, he enjoys hunting, spending time with family, and ultimately humiliating his close friend and drummer, Nathan Spears, in PS3 NCAA Football. John Andy Bowen was born and raised in the Mississippi Delta in the town of Cleveland, MS. Bowen first began performing at the age of 17 by sitting in with different local blues artists in the area. Bowen’s love of music led him to spend his first college years traveling and performing for free. He learned many things from these great blues acts, but most notably, he learned the importance of being a performer. After gaining a degree in music, Bowen carried what he learned from blues acts and college into his first traveling band, Back 40. Bowen was first introduced to Miller when Back 40 opened for Crossin Dixon. In between gigs, Bowen works in auto parts and is a sought after guitar instructor. His favorite hobby is fishing, and he loves all southern foods. Bowen brings energy and excitement to the stage with a smile, and he plans to keep performing for many years to come. Jamie Bright is a native of Batesville, MS. Driven by local country music influences, Bright began playing guitar in churches and local honky tonks beginning at the age of 14. By age 23, Bright founded a well-known college bar scene band, the Willy Waggs. During this time, they opened up for artists such as Brantley Gilbert, Diamond Rio, Dustin Lynch, etc. In the summer of 2012, Bright was asked by Miller to play lead guitar for the Jason Miller Band. The rest, they say is history. Topher Brown is a professional musician from Jackson, Ms. He has been a vital part of many bands over the years and has made a name for himself In the local music scene. Some of his former associated acts are, The Band Perry, The Colonels, and Topher Brown and The Family Business. Topher is a versatile musician with skills in several different instruments. He currently plays keys an acoustic guitar for The Jason Miller Band. Topher also sings background vocals for that band. Anthony Daniels is a Eupora, MS native and has been playing music all his life. Although he has only been a member of the Jason Miller Band for a short period of time, he is no stranger to being on big stages, touring, studio work, and constant rehearsals. Anthony has been fortunate enough to share the stage with artist such as rock artist Chad Wesley, gospel group Fully Committed and The Southern Sons, and blues artist JJ Thames. Anthony has opened up for driving and Crying, Eric Johnson, and George Clinton. He is a hard working and dedicated musician that loves the challenges of crossing into different genres of music. He is also a father and devoted husband and loves his family. “I feel blessed to be with a great group of guys.” – Anthony Daniels Nathan Spears is a long time native of Philadelphia, MS. At the age of 14, Spears began his career in music with local friends in the rock band Single 7. During this time, he also played in many church worship groups around his hometown. While attending East Central Community College, Spears played in as many musical groups as possible, including the Collegians, Jazz and Concert Bands, Drumline, and Wall O’ Sound Marching Band. While attending The University of Southern Mississippi, Spears began traveling all around the state of Mississippi as the lead singer and drummer for the band Rico and the Border Patrol. In the summer of 2012, Spears was approached by Miller to join his new band. In his free time, he loves to hunt, fish, whoop Jason Miller at any video game imaginable, and play as many instruments as possible. The Jason Miller Band is stacked with amazing musicians as well as people. This band of brothers is known for their musicianship, tight harmonies, and seemingly effortless ability to deliver a high-energy show. Along with their original music, JMB mixes in music from all genres to keep you on your feet all night.
