The Pride of Canton, Texas

A Canton, TX based singer-songwriter, Mila Rae’s (pronounced m-ï-la) honey-like voice and melancholic melodies envelops listeners in a warm embrace of the Americana sound. Think Kacey Musgraves sound meets Lana Del Rey stories. Mila Rae uses a delicate vocal tone and intentionally intimate lyricism to illustrate the peaks and valleys along the highway of life. 

Mila Rae spent a little time in West Texas, where she placed as a finalist in the Bluelight Live Singer Songwriter Competition in 2021, as well as a finalist in Randall King’s Songwriter Competition in 2022. 

Her latest single, She Ain’t Me, was released by Smith Music in September 2023.
