Kin Faux is not a person. Kin Faux is a movement. Kin as in Family, Faux as in Fake. They believe that you can build the family you want and that everyone is welcome.

Based out of San Antonio, Texas, Kin Faux is a dynamic, nationally touring band that infuses the vibrant spirit of Texas Red Dirt Country into every performance. Drawing inspiration from iconic artists like Charlie Daniels, Alabama, and Restless Heart, their sound features rich vocal harmonies and virtuosic fiddle playing by Rico Gonzalez, incendiary guitar work by Jakey Black, and a thunderous rhythm section with Avery Castro on drums and Adam Carrillo on bass.

As Kin Faux continues to tour and release new hit music, they are poised to become one of the most exciting names in Texas Red Dirt Country history.

Kin Faux is a band of four talented musicians on a mission to put "western" back in country music. While they do pay tribute to country legends like Haggard, Jennings, and Cash, the heavy influence of the band comes from today's Texas music scene (i.e. Randy Rogers, Kevin Fowler, Cody Jinks, and Wade Bowen). What you will experience at a "Kin Faux" show is a solid rhythm section providing a foundation for blistering guitar and fiddle solos. What you will NOT experience are skinny, glitter-jeans twerking to Pop 40 Country. So, put on your wranglers and two-stepping' boots, then come see what the buzz is all about!
