The story of Midnight River Choir is proof that sometimes great bands just happen. One night, four strangers ended up on a late night float trip down the Guadalupe River. As they made their way down the river singing songs, the beautiful harmonies floated into the heads of sleeping campers. The next morning, the boys overheard a man telling a friend that he was “awakened by a midnight river choir.” That was all it took. Taylor Ochs is a Fort Worth based singer songwriter playing soul infused Americana music. Growing up in West Texas, Taylor developed a healthy appreciation for classic rock, funk, blues, and country music that was daily being served up by the bands that his father played in. An injury which ended Taylor's final season of college track and field caused him to turn toward creating and playing music, though you'll soon be convinced he was destined for it since before birth. Certainly an epic name for what has become an epic restaurant. Love & War in Texas is a restaurant developed by two Texans who believe the philosophy described by Mr. Steinbeck.

The concept was created to promote Texas, Texans, Texas food and Texas Heritage. You will not find any "smoked salmon" or "Alaskan snow crab" on our menu. Only fresh Texas Gulf seafood, Texas produce and Texas grown meats... all cooked into authentic Texas recipes.
