DARYL LEE RUSHBorn and raised in the central Texas small town of Markham, singer/songwriter and guitarist Darryl Lee Rush spins whimsical tales of rural and urban Texas over gutsy and dusty backbeats. When he was old enough to play the honky tonks, Rush moved to Austin and joined the Big Johnsons. A chance to join the folk-rock band Fast Train persuaded Rush to move to Dallas. After Fast Train broke up, Rush decided to stay in Dallas and form a new band under his own name. Love and War in Texas

Certainly an epic name for what has become an epic restaurant. Love & War in Texas is a restaurant developed by two Texans who believe the philosophy described by Mr. Steinbeck.

The concept was created to promote Texas, Texans, Texas food and Texas Heritage. You will not find any "smoked salmon" or "Alaskan snow crab" on our menu. Only fresh Texas Gulf seafood, Texas produce and Texas grown meats... all cooked into authentic Texas recipes. To compliment the cuisine, L&W has an extensive "all-Texas" wine list and an equally impressive collection of Texas Beers.

Live Texas music has become a tradition at L&W. Texas singers and songwriters from around the state are finding their way to what is quickly becoming a central gathering place for Texas music and Musicians.
