MASON MAREK Mason Marek is the embodiment of a true-blooded, blue-collared artist and musician. From New Ulm, Texas, Mason grew up playing with his grandpa, Gaylen, across the state. Early on, he began writing short stories while surrounded by true, genuine Texas Country Music. This storytelling passion would one day become the foundation for his songwriting. After the passing of his grandfather, Mason’s love for playing faded as he lost the one who introduced him to music. Love and War in Texas

Certainly an epic name for what has become an epic restaurant. Love & War in Texas is a restaurant developed by two Texans who believe the philosophy described by Mr. Steinbeck.

The concept was created to promote Texas, Texans, Texas food and Texas Heritage. You will not find any "smoked salmon" or "Alaskan snow crab" on our menu. Only fresh Texas Gulf seafood, Texas produce and Texas grown meats... all cooked into authentic Texas recipes. To compliment the cuisine, L&W has an extensive "all-Texas" wine list and an equally impressive collection of Texas Beers.

Live Texas music has become a tradition at L&W. Texas singers and songwriters from around the state are finding their way to what is quickly becoming a central gathering place for Texas music and Musicians.
