COLBY LEE SWIFT
They say you can take the boy out of the countryside, but you can’t take the countryside out of the boy, and that’s 100% the case for Colby Swift. Singing with a pure, sorrowful tone that doesn’t come around much anymore in country music, he pulls in audiences of all ages with a charisma and a vulnerable truth about real life -- stories of the hardships, heartbreaks, backroad mis-adventures, and ambitions of a young man growing up in a tiny farm town (Midfield TX pop. 272), trying to get it right, and trying to help his single oilfield dad raise his younger siblings.

Strumming guitar since kindergarten and immersed in the sounds of the Outlaws, the Georges (Strait and Jones) and the Red Dirt circuit, Colby got his courage up in high school and that huge reaction, and the support from his family and friends, lit his flame to pursue a career in country music. After school, he instantly grabbed the hearts of nearly 9mill viewers in March 2019 when he auditioned on American Idol, wowing the judges with a blue-eyed acapella performance of “Cast No Stones” by Cody Jinks.

He’s been described as “a young Randy Travis, George Jones, Conway, Garth [and] Freddy Fender wrapped up in 1 …". Following his fulfilling experience with American Idol, Swift has continued to grow as a performer, writer and artist -- regularly playing fairs, dancehalls, festivals and clubs across many states the last couple years, and signing an artist development deal with Warthog Entertainment in 2020.
