Electric Gypsies
Electric Gypsies started in Albuquerque N.M. by Jack Moore (drummer for the Steve O'Neill band), Doug Bossi (guitarist for Sassy Jones and JT Ripper) and Steve Mitchell (bassist for JT Ripper and Section Eight). The Band moved to Texas and became a staple in the clubs. After the departure of Steve Mitchell in 1990, Justyn Davidson was added and the band went from clubs to opening major shows such as Lynyrd Skynyrd. After the departure of Doug Bossi, guitarist Tim Womack (Sons of the Desert) joined the band and the first cd Perfect World was released. Tim Womack left to join his brother Drew Womack in the Sons and was replaced by JP Craven of Lubbock, Tx. Shortly thereafter, current Gypsies guitarist Daran Day joined the band and JP departed. The band has played all over Texas as well as in New Mexico, Colorado, Mississippi and Alaska. The band has done show's with Lynyrd Skynyrd, Three Dog Night, Paul Rodgers, Ian Moore, Seven Mary Three and Collective Soul. The Band will continue to work hard to make the fan's happy and push themselves to keep the band fresh and relevant.
