Holler Time
The Holler Time formed almost by default in 2009 as three guys playing music in a loft apartment in Gainesville, Texas. They had tried bands before, together and with others, but when Chad Henderson (lead guitar) called up longtime friend, songwriter Kyle Delashaw, and said, “Hey man, we should do another band,” something just felt different this time. They called on Andrew Mortazavi to bring out his pedal steel and the three spent many months worth of long nights jamming on their guitars as the downtown streetlights shimmered out the windows and down below, eventually blinking out one by one at the end of each night. They jammed on songs by Gram Parsons and Ryan Adams, Dylan and Glossary. They wrote their own new songs. They rehashed old ones. They downed way too much Miller Lite and Evan Williams. They spun vinyl until the records started to scratch. They made music.
