In 1979 with a rock and soul upbringing Joey Love uprooted from Pennsylvania and moved to Texas. It was in there that he was introduced to Blues music and the rest is history. He has been performing in the Dallas/Fort Worth area as well as regionally for past 25 years. Fronting his own project (The Joey Love Band) has placed him in numerous regional festivals as well as travelling the small to medium venue circuit.
Aside from his solo project Joey is also a member and band leader for the Wanda King Blues Band (the daughter of the legendary Freddie King, Rock N Roll Hall of Fame inductee... 2012) he has shared the bill with the likes of Eddie Money, Robert Randolph, Billy Cox (Band of Gypsy's), Eric Johnson, Etta James, The Blues Brothers (Dan Akroyd,Jim Belushi), Bobby Blue Bland, Hubert Sumlin, David Sanborn, and has also opened for Johnny Winter, Blue Oyster Cult, Robert Cray, Jimmie Vaughan,? Savoy Brown, WC Clark, Monte Montgomery, Stephen Bruton as well as performed in a National TV Commercial for Famous Dave's BBQ.
Joey has 2 independently released CD's, Good Phone and Live,Raw and Uncut which was engineered by Chet Himes (Carole King, Ted Nugent, Christopher Cross, Austin City Limits,etc) and also has co-write credits and recorded on Wanda King's latest CD "Bridges". He has been reviewed in regional publications as well as national ones such as Blues Revue and Living Blues. His original song Last Broken Heart was featured on a independent artist compilation CD that was packaged and distributed worldwide with SPIN Magazine.
