Kirk Baxley is a soulful, genuine and honest performer. The four time nominee for "Best Frontman and Vocal Performance" in the Dallas Observer along with the three time nominee for "Best Frontman" in the Austin Chronicle prove that this talented young man has a bright future. Baxley is a edgy spirited yet sweet hearted talent that is now embarking on a new journey in his long and healthy career. Kirk, with his group at that time, Greatness In Tragedy, was signed to Brando records in early 2001 and released a record produced by platinum selling producer, David Castell. Greatness In Tragedy toured nationally until late 2005 and shared the stage with acts such as: Flickerstick, Blue October, The Gin Blossoms, Bowling For Soup, Soul Asylum, Seven Mary Three, and Collective Soul. After the band dissolved Kirk toured through late 2006 in a quirky alt-country act called Kirk Baxley & The Buckshot Jones Band. The band toured regionally through early 2007 until another opportunity arose; the project called Mothers Anthem was born in Austin, Texas. The band immediately got extensive positive attention regionally and eventually hit several tours. Signed to MJMG Management out of Los Angeles, California in early 2008, the band released an album of 13 ripping, rock n' roll tunes entitled Save the Fallen, also produced by David Castell. The band also released two full production videos and a live DVD called An Evevning With Mothers Anthem. The band hit the road and stages with acts such as: The Great White, Blue October, Flyleaf, Queensryche, Jackyl, Naughty By Nature, Paper Tongues, The Vettes, C&C Music Factory, and many more. Mothers Anthem toured until recent 2011 when according to Baxley, "Things just seemed to fall apart, but it doesn't mean I'm done; I love music, and I love people...thats just what I do." Baxley now has a new vision. He recently visited Bentwood, TN where he worked with multi-platinum selling producer and song- writer, Chris Lindsey. Lindsey is known best for writing such hits as "Breathe"- Faith Hill, and "Lets Make Love" -Tim Mcgraw, Faith Hill. Lindsey has had many Billboard chart toppers and has recently worked on records with artists such as: Keith Urban, Carrie Underwood, and Kellie Pickler. Kirk Baxley's EP Stranded is now slated to release early September and will be available in stores and on iTunes. A video for the title track is also in the works according to his new management, Runt Entertainment. Now as a solo-country act, Baxley stated, "I'm absolutely loving the new material. I feel honest. I mean c'mon, I am from Belton, TX."
