Lindsey Lane
As the bell rings and she cleans up the remains of number-two pencils and wasted worksheets, Lindsey hums an unfinished song looking for the perfect play on words that will set emotions rolling for its listeners. Teacher by day and songstress by night, Lindsey encourages her students to chase their dreams all the while chasing her own.

Lindsey was born and raised in the Texas panhandle where she grew up on the twang of steel guitar and country’s finest classic sound. She made her first debut at the Country Barn in Amarillo singing Shania Twain at the age of four which led her to compete and place in various singing competitions throughout the panhandle, as well as, singing the National Anthem for former president Bill Clinton. Lindsey has long fancied the romance between pen and paper and could often be found putting her words to music at a young age. It wasn’t until her earlier years in college; however, that she really began to delve into the world of songwriting. Well versed in young love, hard goodbyes, and reveling female independence, Lindsey created a sound that critics say, “not only captivates today’s mainstream listeners, but also causes an older generation to appreciate her true country roots”. With tones that mimic The Judds, Patsy Cline, and even Creedence Clearwater Revival her musical influences are all but palpable at her live shows.

Lindsey first had the opportunity to craft her live performance front running for the band Lindsey Lane and Midnight Express. Lindsey made a name for herself, booking regular gigs at 6th Street Saloon in Amarillo and gaining a wide fan base of her own at hotspots like Whiskey River, Joe Daddy’s, and Midnight Rodeo. After she was featured on the local Texas Country radio station playing a handful of originals, Lindsey decided to pursue her own sound apart from Midnight Express and began to work on what would become her first EP album, “Gypsy Leavin’”, released in January.

With a pocket full of one liners and warn out six strings, Lindsey continues to polish her craft. She is currently working on a music video for the upcoming release of her new single, Bad Habit, as well as working in studio for her next EP which is set to release in the fall of this year.
