Martha comes from a family of musicians, her father is a Bluegrass guitar player and singer, and her uncle was the famous country music artist Jim Reeves. Singing with her Dad's Bluegrass band since the early age of nine, she began working with him playing various festivals, stage shows, etc. Spending summers with Aunt Mary and Uncle Jim, where she went to the Grand Ole Opry to see him perform.

Martha formed her own band and has been playing professionally on her own ever since. A few years ago Martha decided to concentrate on country music. She then recorded her first album of traditional country music, "Just In Fun". This album is still selling great at all of her performances. In 1990, Martha and her band won the Marlboro Talent Contest in Houston, Texas and then went on to perform at the famous Bull Pen Lounge in Nashville, Tennessee and Rockefeller's in Houston, Texas.

" Be A Star" Winner, Country Music Association of Texas Winner Martha then recorded her second album "Face to Face" in Nashville and performed on the "Be A Star" show winning first place and competing in the finals. Since then she has received several awards from the Country Music Association of Texas. Martha accepted the Hall of Fame award for Jim Reeves at the same time receiving an award acknowledging her achievement and contribution to Country Music. In 1995 Martha received the Lone Star Award from CMAT for best female vocalist.
