Parker Heights
Country, soul, and a little rock n’ roll create the original Texas Country sound of Parker Heights. Four of the five members are siblings, Dustin, Colby, Corey, and Jessie Samford. All of which started playing music very early in life in a family band that included their father. These years allowed time for the members to hone their talent and find their niche in the band. In 2006, the siblings asked their long-time family friend, Seth Wilson, to join them on bass and they created what was known as FM2865. For five years they played under that name all over Texas and built quite a following. Then when it came time to record their sophomore album in 2011 they called on producer Ken Tondre to develop their sound further. This reincarnation also included a name change from FM2865 to Parker Heights. The five members have dedicated many years to each other and the band, working tirelessly to create a sound that can be enjoyed by everyone. Great music from a very likable group of young talent created a following that started in their small town and has continued to grow exponentially throughout the years. While they may have played covers in the Texas Country, southern rock, and mainstream country genres, original material is their primary focus. Each individual member of the band influences these songs with their personal style and creativity.
