Stephen Paul
Born and raised in West Monroe, LA, Stephen's music career began at the early age of three years old when he began playing drums. He was raised in a musical family, his mother, a singer, and his father, a well-rounded musician, songwriter, and singer. Although he was involved in the music scene at church growing up, it wasn't until his early 20's that Stephen began playing guitar and trying his hand at songwriting, while he was involved in a couple of local cover bands. After graduating from the University of Louisiana-Monroe in the Spring of 2013, Stephen played locally around northeast Louisiana before making the move to Nashville in the fall of 2014.
Stephen spent his first few years in Nashville honing his writing and performing skills, but since, has toured from coast to coast hustling his way through the ranks of country music. He has had the opportunity to open for headlining acts such as Pat Green, Dylan Scott, Mark Chesnutt, and Morgan Evans. Stephen has not only found success as an independent country artist, but as a songwriter, as well. He has several independent cuts, with the most recent being “Runnin’ From My Roots” by Janelle Arthur, which was the title track to the Silver Linings Picture “Runnin’ From My Roots” released in December 2018.
Stephen’s newly released singles, “Leaving Louisiana” and “Lookin’ For Me” have taken the country world by storm, creating quite the buzz in Nashville. Both are included on his highly anticipated EP "Off My Chest.”
