The Terry Allen Band is without a doubt one of the most popular draws on the Live Country Music Circuit these days…Constantly breaking attendance records at the venues they perform…time and time again! But it has’nt been an easy ride ….the band has encountered more than it’s share of hardships, and still managed to move forward without missing a beat! The biggest of all heartbreaks was the loss of the band’s beloved lead guitarist Jim Richardson to cancer in early 2009. Jim was so valuable , both as a bandmate, friend , and of course a part of the TAB family. Jim will forever be a part of the foundation on which the band is built. But Jim Sent the band an angel , and ironically a former bandmate of his to fill the gap while the band searched for a new lead guitarist to take over the empty spot permenantly. Mike Minton stepped in to fill the spot over the summer..allowing the band to continue to keep up with it’s busy tour schedule, But luck again smiled upon the band , just as Mike was headed off to school, Ringo Ivey..a seasoned lead player who has toured with Vince Gill and many other Country greats accepted the job of fulltime lead guitarist for TAB..and completed the bands line up once and fo all! In the meantime the band has enjoyed alot of radio airplay..with “Fire Down In Texas” becoming a summer radio hit across the Texas/Oklahoma region, “More Behind A Picture Than The Wall” became a national radio hit via Sirius Satellite Radio . The band’s already successful debut CD “More Behind A Picture Than The Wall” was offically released to retail music stores nationally on August 18th by the band’s record label Optimus Entertainment Group. You can still buy the CD online on this website , or buy tracks through all the major digital retailers including: iTunes, Rhapsody, Napster, emusic, Amazon.com, etc….Just search your favorite site for The Terry Allen Band. The future looks bright as the band plans to expand it’s current 5 state region in 2010.Currently you can catch this great band in Texas, Oklahoma, New Mexico, Lousiana, and Kansas.
