The idea for a celebration of the music of Led Zeppelin came together back in 2012. The Celebration Day DVD was ready for release, and Led Zeppelin was arguably the hottest band in the world. A few months previous, Mike Lambert became aware of Child Advocates Inc and the work they do for at-risk children in Harris County. Mike also realized he knew quite a few Led Zeppelin songs through the various bands he played in. The idea to put these things together inspired Mike to gather a group of like-minded musicians and a group of all-star vocalists, and the now-annual The Gift Remains The Same - The Concert for Child Advocates was born.
The first show was wildly successful, and the question on everyone’s mind was "When can we do it again?” A few charity opportunities presented themselves in early 2013, but it became cumbersome to arrange schedules for a six-piece band with eight singers! After a few performances, the group decided on one vocalist to lead them - Darby Usey, and thus Whole Lotta Led was born. Whole Lotta Led is a reproduction of Led Zeppelin with sight and sound; they replicate the sounds we all know and enhance this presentation with lighting, staging and production.
Whole Lotta Led is comprised of former members of Coldshot (Nathan Stellman and Darby Usey), Lil Queen (Doug Pritchard) and current members of Spare Parts (Mike Lambert, Jeff Ball and Zach Keener). Collectively they possess a solid pedigree of great musicianship and attention to detail. See for yourself why Whole Lotta Led is Houston’s source for Led Zeppelin Live.
