WILDFIRE RELIEF Facts about the 2011 Texas Wildfires, when the Buckets & Boots Foundation began:
• FEMA declared it a Stage 1 Major Disaster
• Over 1.5 Million acres of Texas land had been completely destroyed
• Over 400 homes were a complete loss
• Thousands of residents were in temporary housing and evacuated from their homes for months
• Countless wildlife and livestock throughout the entire state were lost
Facts about the Palo Pinto Wildfires:
• Approx. 40% of the residents lost their homes and their land was destroyed.
• Over 200 structures and 2 churches were destroyed
• Graford Texas lost nearly 40% of its tax revenue to operate it’s fire department and police station.
Event Details:
• Saturday, July 9, 2016 the 6th annual benefit concert will be held at Rocker B Ranch in Graford, Texas – A local venue in close proximity to this devastating fires of 2011 and 2012.
The purpose for the event:
• Celebrate those who are putting their lives on the line to fight this disaster
• Help rebuild the local communities hardest hit when the time is needed
• Raise funding to boost the local economy and offset the tax revenue lost
• Provide funding for local Fire Departments to purchase new/modern equipment
• Our fundraising will be specific for Palo Pinto County and 100% of the proceeds go directly to help the local volunteer firefighters
• We have a 501c3 established as a means to both collect and distribute funding
